Nemiah [Nemaiah] Valley is a remote mountain valley approximately 170 miles[275km] as the crow flies due North of Vancouver just over the Coast Mountain divide. Spectacular Chilko Lake [Canada's largest Alpine Lake] forms the Western perimeter of the valley. The valley is adjacent to Tsylos Provincial Wilderness park. The valley is home to the Nemiah people part of the T'ilhqot'in nation. The nearest town is Williams Lake a 2 1/2 hour drive away. The Valley is dominated by glaciated Mt Tatlow [Tsylos] raising 2000 meters[6500'] over the Chilcotin plateau. There are many large and smaller lakes in the area. Wild life abounds.[ No I don't mean the locals, well maybe. ]
